Pero, ¿qué pasa con el camino inverso?
Como desarrollador senior, tomé la ruta natural y quise probar mis habilidades de gestión, trabajando como manager durante más de dos años. Y ahora llevo otros dos, de nuevo, como desarrollador.
Creo que solo después de haber tomado este camino (desarrollador-manager-desarrollador) puedo considerarme verdaderamente senior. Ahora sé exactamente lo que esperan, valoran y necesitan de mi las otras capas de la empresa. Y como dev, puedo proporcionarlo.
Me gustaría compartir este conocimiento porque quizás no sea necesario que todo el mundo haga el mismo viaje para llegar a este destino. Hablaré sobre responsabilidad, ownership, comunicación efectiva, gestión de crisis, visibilidad y los desafíos involucrados.

There are many articles, books, and talks about the path from being a developer to becoming a manager.
But what about the reverse path?
As an experienced developer, I took the "natural" path and tested my management skills, working as a manager for over two years. Now, I've been working as an individual contributor (IC) for another two years.
I gained several new skills while working as a manager, and most of these are extremely useful as an IC. I believe that only after taking this path (developer-manager-developer) can I truly consider myself a senior developer.
But why? Because now I know exactly what other layers of the company expect, value, and need. And as a developer, I can now provide it.
I'd like to share this knowledge because perhaps it's not necessary to go through this journey yourself. I'll talk about accountability, ownership, effective communication, crisis management, visibility, and the challenges involved.
I promise a reflective session based solely on my experience.
